I’ve been eying the PLIA Designs small Reid satchel in Lacey Street since it first came out; I just haven’t been able to pull the trigger, as I’ve been over-thinking it (should I instead opt for their original size?). But I keep coming back to this new small size and I cannot get enough of the blueberry pattern. The sateen canvas print is so original! The small Reid in Lacey Street stayed on my mind so long that I had to cave. We all know there are a few fashion purchases in a lifetime we simply cannot live without. This PLIA Designs designer handbags is one of them. I went from lusting for the handbag to convincing myself it was most definitely a must-have purchase. This kind of thinking is how impulse purchases get you in trouble, but in this case, I am positive there shall be no buyer’s remorse.
Needless to say, it’s smaller than their original version. True, it doesn’t fit a 15-inch laptop, but it does fit a 13-inch. A lot of my friends and colleagues in the fashion world use a MacBook Air, this small satchel perfectly holds these slim laptops. This new small PLIA designer handbag still has an interior iPad pocket and 2 smartphone pockets. I don’t know about you, but I use both a BlackBerry and iPhone. And when has this style of satchel ever been out out? And trust they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. Plus, these silver twist locks have been artfully crafted and arranged, providing a cute face for the handbag if you look carefully. Unlike PLIA Designs’ original Red satchel, this one does not have a full leather bottom. I think that was a great design choice. A full leather bottom on this smaller satchel would have looked stiff and uptight. This is a small bag and it has more of a carefree character. It doesn’t need a perfectly molded leather bottom.
When the next occasion requires the perfect small satchel, Lacey Street won’t make me feel like I’ve suddenly gone stodgy. It still gets the job done when propriety is in order, but will always let your fun side stay front and center. And there is definitely something to be said for that. The design, shape, and fun pattern all form a very divine little satchel. It’s not overly schoolgirl, nor is it something a teenager would gravitate towards. It’s a timeless satchel with an element of whimsy.
But there is one problem. I now have my eye on PLIA Designs small Reid satchel in Jester Street. (le sigh) There is subtle, but amazing design and quality to PLIA Designs designer handbags. Not to mention the sumptuous interiors that you don’t find in other handbags that cose nearly twice as much. Adding these gems to my wardrobe won’t be difficult, but will take some self-restraint! I love my new Lacey Street and can’t stop showing her off!
