It is nearing autumn and this weekend the raining is falling in big drops. Sheets of rain that make it even difficult to drive. So I'm staying in and arranging my house and cleaning my closets. Everyone calls it spring cleaning I suppose even if it is not spring. Because I have such a deep love for fashion, I have collected many items over the years. It should be of no surprise that I have more than one closet. They are not huge closets by any means, but all of them are completely packed from floor to ceiling.
One of the largest collections I have collected over the years are accessories. Tomorrow is Sunday and I have a very important art unveling to attend. One of the world's most famous artists recently painted the portrait of a very important patroness of the arts. She is also a well known and well loved socialite. Her picture is in every important fashion glossy and on certain style blogs. She is not the sort of socialite to show up at the opening of an envelope. She only attends galas close to her heart or those where she will be surrounded by only the creme de la creme of society. So I knew the handbag I carried had to be perfect.
I was actually grateful for the fact I needed to clean and edit my closets. It gave me a chance to see everything laid out and not crammed into small spaces. I first edited down all of my blouses. The pile I didn't need I set aside for friends to see and if they didn't want them then I would take them to a Goodwill or woman's shelter. Believe it or not, I had not accumulated too many slacks, skirts, or shoes. I do love jackets and coats, but I would keep all of those. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons so I actually wear all of my blazers and overcoats. Coats, blazers, and jackets are my weakness.
When I moved onto handbags, I was surprised by my collection. Most of my designer handbags are from PLIA Designs. Obviously, I have a weakness for their designer bags also. PLIA Designs makes a beautiful range of designer handbags, leather goods, satchels, bags, and purses. They are all beautifull crafted and each one is made by hand. Their leather craftsman makes each bag himself. I decided immediately I would carry PLIA Designs Eloise clutch handbag to my art event tomorrow. The buttery soft lambskin would be perfect for the occasion.
